Hi! I’m Anna. I’m a painter, wife and mama to my wonderful sons Wesley, Benson and Caulder.
Painting has always been a passion of mine and something that I pursued from a young age. My art teacher was my grandpa. Growing up in Germany, with him in the US, I wouldn’t see him often, but he would give me assignments over the phone or we would send drawings back and forth to each other to add our personal touches to a piece. Later on, I took many art classes throughout high school and college.
At age 14, my family moved back to America after living abroad my whole life. It was a huge adjustment. In the transition, I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression. I went through years of therapy and treatments to get back to a somewhat stable mood. During this time, I put my art on the back burner and barely touched it. I started painting again in my later years of high school and into college but again, life got in the way and my art got pushed to the side.
In December 2018, my husband and I welcomed our first son, Wesley, into the world, making my dreams of motherhood a reality. Since I wasn’t working and was staying home with our son, my husband encouraged me to get back into painting. I am so glad that I did and that I had his support in starting this business. Painting calmed my postpartum anxiety and depression and it has given me a way to express myself and my history through art. Now nap times are filled with painting and doing something that brings me the most joy in life.
xoxo,
Anna
